Laura J. Applegate, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Medicine.  Dr. Laura J. Applegate is a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology with a certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology. Dr. Applegate is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology and the Western Neuroradiology Society, and Dr. Applegate is also a founding member of Pacific Advanced Radiology Medical Group.

Dr. Applegate began her postgraduate Neuroradiology practice at St. Vincent Medical Center and the House Ear Institute, specializing in Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Radiology. Since 1992, Dr. Applegate has been the primary Neuroradiologist at San Fernando Valley MRI center and for the last two years at Valley Imaging Network.

After completing a Pediatric internship and four year Radiology residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center, Dr. Applegate completed a two year Nueroradiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh with additional training in Head and Neck imaging and Pediatric Neuroradiology. She has been published extensively in the neurological applications of magnetic resonance imaging.
